Sulphur Springs Blue Blazes Prepare For Football Season

The Sulphur Springs High School Drill Team has been hard at work all summer long. Coming off a huge win last year as Grand Champions at the Showtime competition, the Blazes have learned a new routine at boot camp to a remix of “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne.

The Pom dance will be showcased at the “Meet the Wildcats” community wide pep rally next Friday, August 8, 2023, at 7 p.m. The Blazes attend “boot camp” every year to prepare for the upcoming season so that they are ready to perform at every football game halftime as well as community events.

This year’s Blue Blazes will continue to wow the audience with their sharp and fast routines. The girls and Coach Meredith Dial work hard every day this summer and into the school year to be the iconic squad that the community knows and loves every season.

Next Friday, the Wildcats and the Blazes will be on display for the first time this season. The community pep rally is a great way to preview the upcoming season, supporting the Blazes in all the hard work that goes into the program.
