The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats have been a threat every year in district. Finishing third last year, the Lady Cats are looking to improve their 6-4 district record. After losing a big senior class, Head Coach Bailey Dorner, said new seniors Mary Taylor and Kate Monk, “always work hard, are uplifting and positive on and off the court.”. Now having a very young team, first and second year players will have to step up and compete at a higher level.

The competitive spirit within the team is infectious and previews the pure athleticism of this year’s team. They are fast, agile, and aggressive—the makings of a good and fun team to watch this year as they chase the district title.

The Lady Cats have a twenty-five-game pre-season with many being at home, including, volleyball powerhouses such as: Rains, Canton, and Edgewood before their district opener Friday, September 22, against Liberty-Eylau at Liberty-Eylau. Volleyball is a fast and exciting sport making it a great way to support the Lady Cats this fall. Let’s have a great year, ladies!
